The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education brings to you Epileptology: Comprehensive Review and Practical Exercises. This course is an introduction to epilepsy evaluation and treatment using current neurophysiological, imaging, pharmacological, and surgical techniques. Lectures are supplemented by discussions of epilepsy cases.

Learning Objectives


After viewing this program, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize and classify the different clinical manifestations of epilepsy
  • Identify EEG patterns characteristic of the various types of epilepsy
  • Discuss the different molecular and pathological etiologies of various types of epilepsy
  • Explain the role of genetics in the expression of epilepsy in humans
  • Apply therapeutic strategies that are most effective for specific epilepsy types
