Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Summarize the role of imaging in the assessment of both ischemic and non-ischemic heart disease
- Describe a multifaceted approach to the assessment of diffuse lung disease
- Optimize the use of imaging in diagnosis and staging of lung malignancies
- Outline approaches to radiation dose reduction in CT of the chest
- Summarize the role of imaging in the assessment of the pulmonary arteries
- Describe technological advances in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, and positron emission tomography (PET) as they relate to chest disease
- Understand the role of imaging in the ICU and postoperative patients
- Describe the imaging features of infections in the lung
