Course Summary

Objectives and Overview

The primary objective of this activity is to help periodontists prepare for the oral exam (Part II) for certification by the American Board of Periodontology. This preparation is more important than ever, given the apparent decrease in pass rates over the past few years and the fact that there is now only one oral exam given each year.

Comprehensive Review Course in Periodontics provides all practicing periodontists, general dentists, and other specialists with a comprehensive review and update. If you are facing a recertification examination, this program will also help you meet your recertification CE requirements.

This comprehensive review and update covers:

  • Current concepts – particularly as they relate to management of patients with advanced periodontal disease
  • New developments and a general update in periodontics
  • Systemic diseases’ influences on periodontal disease, patient management, and periodontal medicine
  • Management of office emergencies and diagnosis of oral lesions
