The New York General Surgery Board Review activity is a comprehensive and intensive review designed to help candidates complete preparation for the
American Board of Surgery Qualifying, Certifying, and Recertification Examinations.
This activity also prepares surgical residents for the senior level ABSITE Examinations. The program curriculum is designed to match the subject matter of the examinations of the American Board of Surgery, including the current standards of care, as well as aiding surgeons who now are evaluated by the six competencies: medical knowledge, patient care, communication skills, practice-based learning,
systems-based practice, and professionalism.
