The Brigham Critical Care Board Review Course major objective is to prepare attendees for the ABIM Subspecialty Board Examination in Critical Care (Certification/Re-Certification). We will convey state-of-the-art information on a wide spectrum of clinical problems that reflect the curriculum in critical care medicine for the ABIM examination. The pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of shock and respiratory failure is addressed. The spectrum of subspecialty areas—cardiac, renal, GI, hematologic, nutrition, obstetric, neurologic, infectious disease, endocrine, and trauma/burns are covered. Management of the ventilator, fluid, acid-base and electrolyte problems is addressed.
