Description

The Oakstone Institute’s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Board Review Course is a comprehensive review course in child and adolescent psychiatry that will truly update the participants, thereby preparing them for either an upcoming board examination, or maintenance of certification examination. This is also a stand-alone course for those who are just seeking a comprehensive review, and are not planning on taking any examinations in the near future.

The course is extremely comprehensive, covering all the topics that need to be included in a review, as well as research and practice updates. The speakers were selected for their areas of expertise and career interests. Some multi-topic lectures were designed and delivered by Dr. John Koutras, the course director, in order to ensure that every required topic is covered sufficiently for the examinations. In addition, exam-type questions are included in all of the lectures, with detailed explanations provided by the speakers.

Target Audience

This activity is primarily intended for child and adolescent psychiatrists and adult psychiatrists who treat adolescents, as well as psychiatric nurse practitioners. This course may also appeal to primary care physicians and “mid-level” providers.
