Course Description
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to present their 6th Annual Anesthesiology Board Review Course.
The conference provides an in-depth specialty review, designed to provide anesthesiologists and anesthesiologists-in-training with the current and relevant information they need to prepare for Certification Examination and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
This updated lecture series will be presented by clinician-educators that actively teach and practice within the specialty area on which they are lecturing. Interactive Q&A Sessions using an Audience Response System will be utilized by each speaker focusing on review sample questions to provide practice and reinforce learning.
Optional simulation sessions take place at the University of Pittsburgh’s award-winning and ASA-Endorsed Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education and Research (WISER). University faculty who design simulations and regularly teach CME courses at WISER will guide learning.
In addition, attendees will benefit from several special features. These include pre- and post-test questions so they can monitor their progress and assess their learning needs. A comprehensive printed syllabus plus a CD-ROM will be provided at the conference, allowing attendees to continue to review the material after the conference. And One-on-One Practice Oral Examination is also available for an additional charge to help attendees prepare for this challenging exam.
