The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to offer a comprehensive, concise, and practical review of core principles of anesthesiology by nationally recognized clinician educators that covers vital concepts examined by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Each lecture presentation incorporates practice written board questions. To further prepare, attendees can opt to participate in high-fidelity human simulation sessions and practice oral examinations.

Perioperative Management is designed for practitioners who evaluate and care for surgical
patients, pre, intra, and postoperatively. The clinical faculty of Johns Hopkins University
School of Medicine present a rational, clinically oriented, multi-disciplinary approach to
the management of the surgical patient. Twenty seven million surgical procedures are
performed per year in this country, and all of these patients require some degree of
preoperative assessment. All obviously receive intraoperative care and all will require
postoperative care, either in a recovery room or ICU setting. This course was originally
designed and continues to be the established leader in the field of perioperative
